Cheddar TV - "The Science Of Hacking Medicine"
Mount Sinai is hosting innovation events to encourage experts to tackle unmet medical needs. Sinai Innovations is a two day conference on October 17th and 18th and will include world class speakers and panel discussions focusing on cancer topics such as viruses, immunotherapy, health disparities, survivorship, and new therapies. The Health Hackathon, which occurs October 13-15th “brings together young entrepreneurs, innovators, and experts with a broad range of expertise,” said Scott Friedman, MD, dean for therapeutic discovery and professor of medicine, liver diseases, and pharmacological science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. “Each team will address a single unmet need. We work with participants in advance to brainstorm these unmet needs, which can include ‘how to tolerate side effects’ or ‘how to provide better care.’”
