 – December 27, 2012  ––

A technological breakthrough has incredible benefit for people who are paralyzed. The Mount Sinai Hospital is experimenting with the so-called eksoskeleton, a computer-driven motor device. Manny Maldonato, who was paralyzed from the waist down, is a test pilot for this game-changer. Dr. Ragnarsson, the chair of rehabilitation medicine at Mount Sinai, said, “The technology is going to be the breakthrough that allows [patients] to be back on their feet, walk about, perhaps sooner that the results we’ll see on cellular-based research.”
