Dr. Marcelle Layton Presents Grand Rounds on November 8th

Marcelle C. Layton, MD, Assistant Commissioner for the Bureau of Communicable Disease at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, will present at the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health’s November Grand Rounds. Her presentation is entitled “Emerging Infectious Disease Threats in New York City.” Dr. Layton played a key role in New York City’s public health response to the appearance of West Nile virus in 1999 and following the attacks on the World Trade Center and intentional anthrax release in 2001. She most recently led the surveillance response to the emergence of the 2009 pandemic influenza H1N1 outbreak.
