Active Clinical Research

The division is currently recruiting volunteers for a 1-year dietary study who are:

• Non-smokers
• 50 years or older
• Who have any of the following:
  • Thick waist
  • High blood pressure
  • Low HDL cholesterol
  • High triglycerides
  • High fasting blood sugar

Participants will be asked to:

• Complete 8 visits at Mount Sinai
• Have frequent contact with the study dietitians
• Give blood and urine samples
• Write down what they eat for short times
• Have an MRI without contrast
