How to Apply
The Urban Community Cardiology Fellowship Training Program welcomes applications from individuals with outstanding educational backgrounds and who will have completed a residency in Internal Medicine from an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution. H-1 and J-1 visas are considered; however, preference is given to applicants with U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.
All applications are considered solely through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
We ask that all applicants submit the following, in addition to any pertinent information:
- Current CV
- Personal Statement
- ECFMG Report (if applicable)
- MSPE (or equivalent)
- USMLE Scores
- 3 Letter of Recommendation (at least one letter must be from your Internal Medicine Residency Program Director or Department of Medicine Chair)
The National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) is exclusively used in the final selection process.
Recruitment Timeline

| February- April | Programs register for ERAS |
| July 1st | Applicants complete applications and start applying |
| July 15th | Programs begin downloading applications from ERAS |
| July 31st | Mount Sinai’s deadline to receive applications |
| August | Applications reviewed |
| September-October | Interviews conducted |
| November | NRMP match list created |
| December | Match results available on NRMP site |
