  • Mondays 8:00 A.M. (Drs.Padilla, Harkin and Braman)
    Dr.Teirstein Master Clinician Rounds
    The fellows review all of the recent pulmonary and bronchoscopy chest radiographs and ct scans with our master clinicians.  They learn how to interpret radiology and generate a differential based on the radiological findings.
  • Mondays 4:00 P.M.
    X-ray Conference (Dr.Mendelson)
    This conference is designed to review interesting CXRs, Chest CTs, and to discuss management of challenging cases. It is expected that the fellows on any service present interesting cases. These cases may come from pulmonary or transplant consults, chest/sarcoidosis clinic, or ICU cases. Pulmonary and Thoracic Surgery attendings also bring cases to be presented. The fellows present approximately five cases each week. The fellow provides the films, the thoracic radiologist reviews the films and provides a differential and then the fellow provides the pertinent history.

  • Tuesdays 4:00-6:00 P.M.
    Fellows Core Critical Care and Pulmonary Conference Series - (Drs. Ayyala)
    Presentations include core pulmonary and critical care topics, introduction to research
    methodology, and fellow presentations of classic pulmonary patho-physiology.

  • Wednesdays 7:30 A.M.
    Pulmonary Thoracic Oncology Conference
    The thoracic surgery fellow reviews all the previous surgical cases with a focus on interdisciplinary discussion regarding pulmonary tumors.  

  • Thursdays 4:00 P.M.
    Pulmonary Pathology Conference (Drs. Ayyala)
    The assigned fellow presents four interesting cases with anatomical/histological review by the pathology team. After each case presentation, the fellow gives a five-minute discussion (with handouts) on evidenced based facts regarding the relationship between the history, radiology and pathology.

  • Fridays 8:30 A.M.
    Outpatient Topic Review (Dr.Dua and Dr.Morgenthau)
    The assigned fellow reviews a topic in outpatient pulmonary medicine or specific to sarcoidosis. Once a month, the fellows review pathology with Dr.Mary Beth Beasley.

  • Fridays 12:30 P.M.
    Pulmonary/Critical Care Grand Rounds (Dr. Christian Becker)
    Fellows, faculty members, and guest speakers present various clinical and research topics.
