Midwifery Practice Division

The Mount Sinai Midwives are a group of 9 certified nurse-midwives who work in conjunction with obstetrician- gynecologists at Mount Sinai Hospital, to provide women and their families with professional, compassionate and comprehensive care.

As fully licensed experts in low risk women's healthcare, the Mount Sinai midwives attend over 500 deliveries per year on Mount Sinai's labor and delivery unit. They provide prenatal, postpartum and well woman gynecology services to low risk women at several sites which include Mount Sinai OB/GYN Associates, Mount Sinai of Queens, Settlement Health, North General Hospital and Boriken Health Center.

The Midwifery Program provides patients with the best of both worlds: the art of midwifery and the medical expertise people have come to expect from Mount Sinai.
