The Division of International Health provides training and mentorship to self-funded postdoctoral fellows and visiting scholars from overseas. In the previous years, trainees from various countries including Mexico, Brazil, and Spain have worked with us, and made exceptional progress in their career development. Trainees typically stay at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for a period of six to 12 months, and engage in collaborative research projects with Mount Sinai faculty.
Many of our trainees have greatly benefited from this program in many ways. Most of them have published their projects in peer-reviewed journals, and given presentations at professional conferences. Upon returning to their home country, many continued to thrive in their careers, which resulted in advancing in their careers; receiving new grants; completing their postgraduate degrees or pursuing further education; and launching new projects.
Eligibility
- The program is open to postdocs, researchers, and professors/lecturers from outside of the United States, who are interested in conducting research study in environmental and/or occupational health with Mount Sinai faculty.
- You must be fully self-funded. This means that you must be prepared to cover all expenses related to your visit, including travel, housing, and living expenses.
