Lizbeth López-Carrillo, Dr. P.H.
Dr. López-Carrillo is currently a Senior Researcher in Mexico’s premier public health institution, the National Institute of Public Health. She was awarded the Irving J. Selikoff Scholarship in 2001 and worked with Mount Sinai’s Jia Chen, Ph.D. on the development of a protocol for maternal folate and B vitamins status and neurodevelopment in children. Dr. López-Carrillo’s other research interests include DDT and occupational cancers and reproductive health, reproductive health and gene-environment interactions and neurodevelopment and gastric cancer. She is also currently the Mount Sinai/Queens College International Training Program in Environmental and Occupational Health’s liaison in Mexico.
