Opportunities are available to participate in research to help us understand the processes of disease and to test novel therapeutics and therapeutic approaches at Mount Sinai Department of Psychiatry. The division of Geriatric Psychiatry is closely allied with the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center which studies memory problems, such as Alzheimer’s disease, and the Brain Stimulation Center of Excellence, which studies the treatment of psychiatric disorders with electroconvulsive therapy and deep brain stimulation.
Descriptions of other opportunities to participate in research can be found on the Department of Psychiatry’s Research Page or at ClinicalTrials.gov, a comprehensive listing of clinical trials in the U.S. and abroad. The Web site offers accurate and unbiased information about a study's purpose, location, and entry criteria. The site includes all trials conducted at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
