About Us

The overarching goal of the Mental Health Services Research Division within the Department of Psychiatry at Icahn School of Medicine is the conduct of research studies in partnership with clinical providers at the Mount Sinai Health System, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, New York State Office of Mental Health, mental health service agencies and communities, locally and nationally. Under the leadership of Dr. Mary McKay, a multidisciplinary team of investigators works in real world settings with consumers, advocates and clinicians to create, deliver and test child and family-focused mental health interventions as well as prevention programs and services. The Division’s work aims to advance the understanding of what constitutes quality mental health for urban families.
