Department of Psychiatry Welcomes Incoming Residents for 2014-2015
Our Class of 2018 brings with them substantial leadership experience and successes in academia, clinical and basic science research, and clinical care. The class includes incoming residents with backgrounds in philanthropy, the arts, engineering, and law.
- Three will obtain a PhD during residency (two in our novel NIMH-funded “PhD + Residency” track and one in the Physician-Scientist Research track); One in the research track already has a PhD
- Three have been awarded AOA
- Four have been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society
- Other laudable attributes: lawyer; master’s degrees; national leadership; diversity; business backgrounds; presidential and senatorial awards for service; global health awards; professional musician; well-represented research with leaders in the field and multiple publications
