Breast Imaging Fellowship
The breast imaging fellowship at the Mount Sinai Medical Center is designed to be a well balanced clinical academic year during which the fellow will participate in the diagnostic and interventional activities of the division. The fellow will interpret breast ultrasound, breast MRI and mammography at Mount Sinai's Dubin Breast Center and the Center for Advanced Medicine. The fellow will interact with patients and be an active participant in multidisciplinary breast conferences and resident and medical student education. Participation in research projects is encouraged.
The fellow will work in an all digital mammography environment that utilizes 1.5 and 3.0 T magnets for breast MRI, and performs diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound. There is an active breast interventional program; the fellow will be proficient with needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound procedures as well as MRI procedures.
