Applications are invited from students have at least a 3.5 undergraduate grade point average [GPA], and who have achieved or can reasonably be expected to achieve a 34 on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

Applicants for the PM track should use the MS in Biomedical Sciences application.

Selection criteria

Students who have a strong interest in preparing for entry into an MD or MD/PhD program are encouraged to apply. In reviewing a candidate's application, we consider a variety of criteria that demonstrate whether the candidate exhibits potential for acceptance to medical school.

Admission is based on the applicant's academic records, prior MCAT scores, research experience, letters of recommendation, personal statement regarding ultimate career plans, and interviews with Mount Sinai faculty and the Program Director. Application deadline is June 1, although application review will begin on April 15.
