Applicants to the Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program should meet the following requirements:

• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• You must have obtained a baccalaureate degree in a biomedically relevant science field from an accredited college or university in the United States, no longer than 36 months prior to your application to the program.
• Not be currently enrolled in a degree program.
• You must have some lab experience, with an interest in protected time to develop additional skills research.
• Individuals who bring diversity to graduate study in the biological or biomedical sciences because of their culture, class, race, ethnicity, background, disability, work and life experiences, skills and interests are encouraged to apply for the program. Individuals from the following groups are especially encouraged to apply:
  • Students who identify as Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and other Pacific Islander
  • Individuals with disabilities
  • Individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
