Faculty

The 540-member attending and teaching staff of Elmhurst Hospital Center hold faculty appointments at Icahn School of Medicine. The professional staff at Elmhurst includes faculty in pediatric Primary Care, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Endocrinology, Neonatology, Developmental Pediatrics, Genetics, Neurology, Pulmonology, Child Psychiatry, and Allergy and Immunology. In addition there are Mount Sinai-based full-time and part-time faculty in all pediatric subspecialty divisions. A nursing staff and a full complement of therapists, technicians, and administrative personnel are also members of the healthcare team.

In the past several years, the annual Excellence in Teaching Award, given by the students of the Icahn School of Medicine to a teacher at Mount Sinai or one of its affiliates, has often been awarded to Elmhurst Hospital Center physicians.
