Academic Cardiovascular Training Program at The Mount Sinai Hospital

The Academic Track Cardiology Fellowship is a premier program of Mount Sinai Heart at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

It is led by a highly respected and recognized name in cardiovascular medicine, Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD. Dr. Fuster is Chief of the Division of Cardiology, Professor of Medicine, Cardiology, Director of Mount Sinai Heart, and Physician-in-Chief of The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Ranked No. 7 in the nation for heart services by U.S. News & World Report, Mount Sinai Heart is internationally regarded as well as a leader in all aspects of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and advanced cardiac research.

Our goal is to develop outstanding future academic leaders in cardiovascular medicine through a rigorous course of clinical and academic study and active scientific investigations in basic, translational, or clinical medicine.

We offer one of the most prominent cardiology training programs in the country, taught by recognized and influential leaders.  Fellows in the Academic Track Cardiology Fellowship Program have the choice of three flexible pathways to complete their training within either three or four years.
