Before joining the staff at Mount Sinai in 1989 as an Assistant Clinical Professor, Dr, Steinberger was an Instructor in Neurosurgery at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. His specialty interests are brain tumor surgery and spinal surgery, in particular, spinal fusion.
