David M. Nierman is the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer of Mount Sinai Queens. He heads the medical staff, overseeing the consistent delivery of high-quality, patient-focused medical care by nearly 500 physicians representing close to 40 medical and surgical specialties. Since joining the hospital in 2006, Dr. Nierman has recruited many excellent physicians and has initiated new clinical programs that address the health care needs of the community.

He also holds a Master of Medical Management (MMM) degree from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, New Orleans, LA. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease and critical care medicine.
Prior to joining Mount Sinai Queens, Dr. Nierman was Director of both the Medical Intensive Care and Respiratory Care Units at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan, where he served for 15 years.
