Biography
Dr. Douglas Monasebian is an assistant clinical professor in the Division of Plastic Surgery and Department of Surgery. Dr. Monasebian received his medical degree with high distinction from the University of Nebraska School of Medicine and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He received his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center and his Oral Maxillofacial Surgery training was from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He is Board Certified in both specialties.
\t In addition to his active private clinical practice, Dr. Monasebian teaches residents in both the Department of Plastic Surgery and the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He has published and lectured extensively in the fields of plastic and maxillofacial surgery. His areas of expertise are facial reconstructive surgery and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body.
\t Dr. Monasebian holds memberships in local, regional and national plastic surgery societies. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
