Dr Faith Frieden is a native New Yorker, who earned her MD degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at NYU Medical Center. She is board-certified in Ob/Gyn and MFM, and has been named as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly and NY Magazine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, a Member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and a Senior Member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.
Prior to coming to Mount Sinai West, she was the Director of MFM, Medical Director of the Antepartum Testing Center, and Chief of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Englewood Hospital & Medical Center.
In addition to her clinical interests in ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis, she is a leader in quality and safety in obstetrics, having served in leadership positions on Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, and Peer Review committees on a departmental and institutional level.
In her current role as Medical Director of Labor & Delivery at Mount Sinai West, she works closely and collaboratively with nursing to oversee quality, safety and appropriateness of patient care on the Labor & Delivery unit.
