Biography

    "Dr. Kashan is a an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a member of the attending staff at Mount Sinai Beth Israel where he serves as the Chief of Quality Improvement for the Department of Medicine, the Director of the Presurgical Testing Service, and an attending physician at General Medical Associates (an outpatient general medicine faculty and teaching practice). He divides his time between quality improvement activities, clinical responsibilities, resident and medical student education, committee leadership and membership, and clinical informatics projects. He has conducted and published both clinical and technical peer-reviewed research. Previously, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Princeton University with a BSE degree in Electrical Engineering and certificates in Physics and Applied Mathematics and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa, Tau Beta Pi, and Sigma Psi honors societies. Subsequently, he received his MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and went on to complete a residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center. Afterwards, he did a fellowship at the Clinical Quality Fellowship Program of The Greater New York Hospital Association and United Hospital Fund.
