Biography
Dr. Grace Hyun is the Associate Director of Pediatric Urology at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Urology and has a certificate of added qualification in Pediatric Urology. Her clinical specialties include the evaluation and treatment of
children with
urinary tract infections, vesicoureteral reflux, incontinence,
hypospadias and hydronephrosis.
Prior to being named Associate Director, Dr. Hyun was an Assistant Professor of Urology at Columbia University Medical Center as the director of the Stone Center and the medical director of the Voiding Center. Dr. Hyun has received multiple awards including Physician of the Year by the Department of Nursing, Arnold P. Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award by the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Teacher of the Year in the Department of Urology. She is the recipient of multiple Patient's Choice and Compassionate Doctor's awards.
Her areas of expertise include varicoceles, hypospadias, vesicoureteral reflux, undescended testicles, kidney stones, incontinence, voiding dysfunction, minimally invasive surgery, genital disorders and urinary tract reconstruction.
Dr. Hyun is involved in research regarding adolescent varicoceles, resident teaching and pediatric bladder cancer. She has authored numerous articles, chapters and presented at national meetings. She is an active member of the Society of Pediatric Urology as well as the American Urological Association.
