Dr. Teixeira is an assistant clinical professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center and has been practicing in the field since 2008. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
Dr. Teixeira received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Cornell University and went on to study Nutrition at Columbia University, receiving a Master’s of Science in 1998. She attended Osteopathic Medical School at New York Institute of Technology and completed residency training at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, where she was awarded Resident Teacher of the Year. Dr. Teixeira has 10 years of clinical experience providing obstetric and gynecologic care.
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
