Biography

Dr. Jill Kalman is the Director of the Cardiomyopathy Program at . She is an expert in the field of Congestive Heart Failure and is extensively published in this area. Her primary focus in clinical investigation in heart failure focuses on novel medical therapies, technologies and device therapy in all stages of heart failure. She began in the specialty of Heart Failure at Mount Sinai, and then started and developed the Heart Failure Program at Beth Israel Medical Center from 1998-2005. She was subsequently recruited to as Director of the Cardiomyopathy Program and Chief of the Cardiac Service of Tisch Hospital. In 2007, she was recruited back to as the Director of the Program to further develop and expand the Heart Failure and Transplant Program.

Dr. Kalman graduated from the of with honors and received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She has been dedicated to Mount Sinai, and completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at the , including a research fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Dr. Kalman has dedicated her career to improving the quality and quantity of life in patients with all stages of Heart Failure.
