Konstantin Zakashansky, MD

Dr. Konstantin Zakashansky is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science.
After completing two years at the Moscow Medical Academy, Dr. Konstantin Zakashansky moved to the United States and graduated Magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota. He went on earning his medical degree from the Stony Brook School of Medicine. Dr. Zakashansky completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Beth Israel and then fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Zakashansky's special interests include radical pelvic surgery, particularly minimally invasive approaches to treatments of benign and malignant gynecologic conditions. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and has been active in clinical and translational research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at national meetings. He also serves as a mentor for ob-gyn residents and medical students at Mount Sinai. Dr. Zakashansky is a Director of Gynecologic Oncology at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn.
