- Dr. Marilia Neves is a clinical psychologist and the Director of Behavioral Science for the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine. Prior to joining the Institute for Family Health in 2012, Dr. Neves worked as a behavioral science faculty for the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and was a senior psychologist at Bellevue Hospital’s Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Oncology and Palliative Care. She was also faculty for the Department of Psychiatry at NYU Langone School of Medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs. In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
