Biography

    Dr. Neves is a clinical psychologist of Dubin Breast Center and currently provides psychological services to women, couples and families affected by breast cancer. Prior to joining Dubin Breast Center in 2014, Dr. Neves was the Director of Behavioral Science Training and Education for the Harlem Residency in Family Medicine of the Family Institute for Family Health and was an assistance professor for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She also worked extensively with oncology patients and their families as a senior psychologist of Bellevue Hospital’s Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Cancer Center and Palliative Care Program, and was a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Psychiatry at the New York University Langone School of Medicine. Dr. Neves was a behavioral science faculty for the family medicine residency training of the Department of Family and Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center and was an assistant professor for that same department at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Neves is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
