Maureen K Braun, MD

Dr. Braun received her medical degree from The Pennsylvania State College of Medicine and she completed her pediatric training at Mount Sinai Hospital. She is now a physician in the Pediatric Visiting Doctors program, part of a larger Patient Centered Medical Home initiative within the Department of Pediatrics. In addition to seeing patients in their homes, Dr. Braun supervises one evening resident clinic per week and is involved in medical education and medical student mentoring.

Dr. Braun was a Doris Duke Clinical Research fellow from 2008-2009 during which time she participated in research involving vertical transmission of HIV and the maternal-child referral system of HIV exposed newborns. As a resident she conducted a small yoga and mindfulness study with teens in East Harlem. In her position as a Visiting Doctor she will be involved in program development and evaluation, curriculum development, and asthma-related research.
