Biography
Dr. Weinfield is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Weinfeld is an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Mount Sinai Medical Center specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders. Dr. Weinfeld graduated from the Albany Medical College and completed his orthopaedic residency at the Albany Medical College. He than completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. A member of the Faculty since 1996, Dr. Weinfeld is an active member of the American Academy of Othopaedic Surgery as well as the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society , where he serves on the membership committee. He is also the President of the Medical Board of Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Weinfeld's interests include treatment of traumatic injuries, developmental disorders, heel pain, rheumatoid foot deformities, Morton's neuroma and bunion deformities. He is one of few surgeons performing corrective surgery in diabetic feet and treating wound problems. This includes the use of minimally invasive techniques, such as arthroscopy, which minimize pain, scarring and the need for a general anesthetic.Industry Relationships
Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
