Biography
A multiple listed Castle Connelly Top Cardiologist in the New York Metropolitan Area, Dr. Steven Zeldis is renowned in the medical field. He is highly specialized in Cardiac CT Imaging and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and Cardiovascular Disease. He served as Chief of Cardiology, Director of Medical Education and Director of the Non-invasive Cardiology Laboratory at Winthrop University Hospital for twenty one years. Dr. Zeldis is a graduate of Yale Medical School and he completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital. His post-graduate clinical training includes a Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians.
Dr. Steven Zeldis is a distinguished teacher and researcher. He is also Board Certified in Adult Comprehensive Echocardiography and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. The American Heart Association honored him with a leadership award for the Nassau County Chapter. Dr. Zeldis serves as Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at SUNY, Stony Brook and he is well known to the Long Island medical community for his teaching and clinical activities. A Fellow of the Clinical Council (American Heart Association), Dr. Steven Zeldis is extensively well written in many areas of Cardiovascular Diseases, and enjoys a warm and caring relationship with his patients.
Dr. Zeldis is considered a pioneer and long time mentor for many individuals in the medical field. He has a true passion for medicine, but his family including his wife and two children are his first love. Dr. Zeldis also enjoys the art of photography in his spare time and has recently been awarded Third Place a Mac World Photo Contest.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
