Biography
- Dr. Patel has been a faculty member at Mount Sinai since 2000. She is the associate director of the Emergency Department. And she also functions as the co-director of quality assurance & performance improvement. Dr. Patel is involved with the education of medical students and the residents as they rotate through the Emergency Department.

Physicians and scientists on the faculty of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai often interact with pharmaceutical, device and biotechnology companies to improve patient care, develop new therapies and achieve scientific breakthroughs.
