Kathleen Watson, MD
Dr. Hesdorffer is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the Columbia University Medical Center. She works in the field of epilepsy epidemiology with specific expertise in epilepsy comorbidities. Dr. Hesdorffer serves as an external evaluator for the Brain Injury Research Center.
Dr. Jayasinghe is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College. Her research focusses on elucidating factors that account for treatment-readiness, treatment adherence, and treatment drop out in trauma patients with PTSD.
Lisa Spielman, PhD
Dr. Spielman is a Statistical Consultant for the Brain Injury Research Center (BIRC). Her expertise is in clinical research and statistical consultation on the design and analysis of federally-funded research in the areas of TBI, Anxiety Disorders, HIV, Geriatric Psychiatry, PTSD, and Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Spielman oversees all of the BIRC’s statistical analyses and designs the methodology of many of the center’s projects.
