Description

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft Platform, which is a device used in the treatment of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), can improve clinical outcomes. An abdominal aortic aneurysm is a bulge in the aorta (the main artery leaving the heart) caused by a weakening in the artery wall. If left untreated, this bulge may continue to grow larger and ultimately rupture (break open), resulting in serious internal bleeding. The information collected from this study will be used to evaluate how well patients do when treated with the Ovation Abdominal Stent Graft Platform both immediately after surgery, at one month after surgery and at one year after surgery. If a patient decides to participate in this study, their medical condition will be carefully monitored. One may qualify to take part in this research study if they have been diagnosed with an aneurysm (bulge) in their aorta, the vessel that supplies blood to most of the body.
