This is a research study for women who have been treated for early stage breast cancer.

Studies have shown that overweight women with early stage breast cancer have an increased risk of cancer recurrence and death.  Given the negative consequences of weight gain after diagnosis, this study hopes to identify effective weight management techniques aimed at promoting overall health and long-term survival.  We will examine whether adding weight loss acupuncture to a nutrition education program for weight loss could improve short and long term weight loss among breast cancer survivors after treatment with chemotherapy.
