Department(s) or Division(s)
Anesthesiology

Description

Early extubation (in the OR or within < 24 hours after ICU arrival) has been shown to decrease length of ICU/hospital stay in pediatric cardiac surgery population. The hypothesis is, that certain perioperative parameters are predictors of early extubation. Our electronic intraoperative anesthesia database and medical records will be reviewed. A multivariate analysis will be performed to determine parameters related to early extubation in our patient population.
