The purpose of our study is to determine if goal directed therapy (treatment of low measures of cerebral and renal tissue oxygenation with a predetermined treatment protocol) results in lower postoperative markers of impaired tissue perfusion. We hypothesize that using combined measures of renal and brain as the index organs, the majority of interventions to optimize oxygen saturation in these tissues would have a beneficial systemic effect for enhancing global tissue perfusion and potentially improve outcomes in pediatric CHD patients.
