The National Children’s Study (NCS) is a prospective epidemiological investigation that will follow 100,000 children, a representative sample of all babies born in the United States, from conception (or before) to age 21 years. The goal is to discover preventable, environmental causes of the major diseases confronting American children and to use these findings to create a science-based blueprint for disease prevention. This study location is currently in the planning stages.
