Grants

The Experimental Therapeutics Institute funds pilot projects grants. The purpose of these grants is to encourage collaborative projects between researchers in different disciplines to develop interdisciplinary projects and gather initial data that would make applications to extramural agencies more competitive. The proposals focus on development of new high risk/high gain ideas. The grants aim to foster collaborative research that is translational in nature with a focus on development of new therapeutics. Purely basic or clinical studies do not in general fall within the scope of this pilot project program. Although these projects generally have multiple PIs, single PI applications that are collaborative are considered. These projects generally represent a new translational direction for the PI(s).
