Stroke Care Excellence: Mount Sinai Queens
For reducing the time it takes for a newly arrived stroke patient to be treated with clot-busting drugs, Mount Sinai Queens was named to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association’s Honor Roll Elite and received the “Get With The Guidelines” Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes Mount Sinai Queens’s success in ensuring that stroke patients receive care in line with nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence. “With a stroke, time lost is brain lost. We are pleased that the American Heart Association has spotlighted the efforts of our Stroke Center team to improve the quality of care for our patients,” said Caryn A.
