The Department of Ophthalmology of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Mount Sinai Health System, the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and The Friedman Brain Institute have partnered to develop an expanding program in research in ophthalmology and visual science. The research portfolio includes basic, bench research in cornea, glaucoma, ocular stem cells, lens and cataract, and retina, and clinical research in all the subspecialties of ophthalmology, including imaging and therapeutics. The clinical services participate in numerous clinical trials providing patients access to the latest and most modern care.
