Centers for Community and Academic Research Partnership (CCARP)
The Centers for Community and Academic Research Partnership (CCARP) connect faculty and community members so that the values and culture of the community are respected throughout the research process. CCARP is supported by Conduits – the Institutes for Translational Sciences at Mount Sinai, which is funded by the Clinical and Translational Sciences Award (CTSA) grant.
Members of the CCARP Advisory Board include community leaders and Mount Sinai faculty and staff under the leadership of LaTanya Phelps-Waldropt (community) and Nina Bickell (academics).
The Genomic Medicine Subcommittee of CCARP includes the members of community leaders. The Subcommittee facilitates community consultation and participation in development of IPM's research and educational projects.
