Development Funds
Chair, Development Funds Award Committee: Savio Woo, PhD
Associate Director for Research Administration: Chan-Bene Lin
The Tisch Cancer Institute (TCI) utilizes developmental funds to provide seed funding for inter-disciplinary translational research in cancer and to develop shared resource facilities that will benefit TCI cancer programs and members. Pilot project funding was made available in 2010 and 2011. These pilot awards encourage collaboration between programs and members, and have produced promising data as well as the development of new shared resources.
Pilot seed funding for inter-disciplinary translational research in cancer is awarded on an annual basis, with the project period lasting for one year, and are overseen by the TCI Developmental Funds Award Committee. Awarded projects undergo an internal grants and contracts review process.
