Xiaosi Gu, a graduate student in neuroscience, received her bachelor's degree in psychology at Beijing University. Her research focuses on empathy and pain processing in healthy and psychiatric populations, using both behavioral assessments and functional magnetic resonance imaging.

Collaborations

The Laboratory of Neuroimaging collaborates with several clinically oriented labs within Icahn School of Medicine. Through these collaborations, the lab utilizes paradigms developed to study cognition in healthy adults in order to understand how specific constructs, such as attention or emotional processing, are disrupted in various psychiatric disorders.
