About Us

Our research interests are divided into four areas, but the unified theme is to decipher the interplay between PDEs and synaptic responsiveness:

1. What are the physiological consequences of PDE regulation of receptor trafficking? How does PDE regulation alter membrane excitability and synaptic responsiveness? Control of AMPAR trafficking by ERK regulation of PDE4.

2. How does the interplay of multiple PDE activities affect receptor trafficking and influence membrane excitability and synaptic responsiveness?

3. Can the spatial regulation of receptor trafficking by PDEs affect synaptic responsiveness?

4. Can we apply a poly-pharmacology approach to target multiple PDEs to treat psychiatric disorders that display maladaptive changes to synaptic strength?
