Welcome to the Singh Laboratory 

The Singh laboratory is interested in the study of viral replication, especially of retroviruses such as HIV-1, Moloney murine leukemia virus, and XMRV, a xenotropic murine-like retrovirus that has been implicated in human disease. The laboratory is also involved in developing clinical tests for the diagnosis of viral diseases. 

Under the leadership of Ila Singh, MD, PhD, Vice Chair of the Clinical Pathology Division in the Department of Pathology, the lab’s virology investigations seek to achieve a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and facilitate advances in patient care.
