About Us

Dr. Anandasabapathy’s research is focused on Barrett’s esophagus and the endoscopic detection of gastrointestinal cancers. She has several ongoing NIH-funded research trials looking at the early detection of Barrett’s associated cancers, esophageal squamous cell cancer, and colon cancer. She holds an adjunct appointment in bioengineering at Rice University in Houston, TX and works closely with biomedical engineers to develop and test novel imaging devices that can be used to detected cancers at an early, treatable stage during endoscopic examination.
