The New York Area Workers Cohort Study aims to investigate the impacts of environmental and occupational exposures on health outcomes for workers throughout the Tri-state region.
As of Fall 2023, we are no longer accepting new research
participants into this research study.
For those of you who enrolled, the study team would like to
thank you for the information you provided to us as we move towards reviewing
and analyzing your responses. Your efforts will help researchers at Mount
Sinai/Icahn School of Medicine evaluate the effects of disasters, such as the
9/11 World Trade Center and the COVID-19 pandemic, on the health of first
responders and essential workers responding during these times.
Links to any academic publications resulting from this
research study will be made available on this website and upon request to the
study team at nyworkers.cohort@mssm.edu.
We invite anyone still interested in contributing to this
area of research to visit the World
Trade Center Health Program and identify whether they are eligible and able
to join the study.
If you have any remaining questions or concerns regarding your participation into this research study please contact the study team at: nyworkers.cohort@mssm.edu.
