STMH services are free for all eligible students and trainees, regardless of their insurance plan. STMH bills your insurance directly and regardless of whether they reimburse for the visit or not, there are no out-of-pocket costs to you such as co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance.
Why have I received a bill for STMH services?
STMH bills your insurance directly and an explanation of benefits might be generated from your insurance carrier—but this is not a bill. You should not be billed for STMH services but if you happen to receive you receive a bill from Mount Sinai for STMH program’s services in error, please bring it to the attention of our administrative staff by emailing STMH at email@example.com or calling 212-659-8805 Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.
I received a bill for STMH services that references the Customer Service Department for Mount Sinai Doctors Faculty Practice. Should I contact them?
We ask that you contact STMH first regarding all related billing inquires about STMH services, so that our administrative staff can assist you with resolving such matters.
My Chart is showing a balance for my STMH services when I have insurance coverage. Why is this?
If your insurance plan does not cover the services you received, you are not financially responsible for these charges and the balance will be adjusted since STMH services are free of charge to you.
What do I do if I am getting calls from a collection agency for my STMH services?

What do I do if I have a new insurance or updated insurance information?
Please send us your new or updated insurance information by providing a copy of the front and back of your insurance card to STMH at email@example.com.
