Dr. Alopi Patel is a double board certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain physician. She attended New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey and currently works at Mount Sinai West and Morningside. Dr. Patel is known to go the extra mile to ensure her patients feel well cared for.   As a pain management specialist, Dr. Patel is committed to the continuous care and education of her patients who are in need of rehabilitation. She focuses on each client individually by performing thorough examinations and diagnosis. Her comprehensive treatment plans include lifestyle modification counseling in sleep hygiene, nutrition, mindfulness based stress reduction techniques and exercise activities.    In addition to treating back pain, joint pain, headaches and more, Dr. Patel focuses on women's health conditions including in interventional techniques for management of chronic pelvic pain. Dr. Patel and her dedicated staff employ the most comprehensive approach to effectively manage pain through a customized treatment plan. Constantly up-to-date on the most progressive techniques and evidence based medicine approaches, she strives to get her patients feeling their best.   Dr. Patel launched a podcast called The Hurt by The Female Pain Docs which is meant to empower and educate patients regarding their health on topics within anesthesiology, pain medicine and lifestyle medicine. She is in the process of being board certified in lifestyle medicine and encourages the implementation of lifestyle modifications in the treatment of chronic pain conditions.   As a faculty member, Dr. Patel is actively engaged in clinical research projects and has given lectures in regional and national conferences on topics in perioperative and pain medicine.   She speaks English, Gujarati, and Hindi fluently and Spanish conversationally.
