Dr. Aloysi is Board-Certified in Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, and the subspecialty of Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry. A graduate of Dartmouth College, she earned her MD degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine (2001), and MPH in Global Health from Mount Sinai School of Medicine (2011).
Dr. Aloysi completed her internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University (2002) and her residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (2005). Dr. Aloysi completed a fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at MSSM (2006). She then joined the full-time faculty at Mount Sinai, serving as attending physician on the Adult and Geriatric Inpatient Services, supervising residents, medical students, and fellows. From 2009 to 2011, Dr Aloysi also served as Unit Chief of the Geriatric Psychiatry Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Aloysi completed training in, and is credentialed to provide, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT). She is also trained in medical acupuncture, and is a certified acupuncture provider.
Dr. Aloysi specializes in the diagnosis and management of cognitive disorders and neuropsychiatric conditions (including Alzheimer’s disease). She continues active involvement in the Mount Sinai Global Health Program. As a faculty member of both the Center for Cognitive Health and the Department of Psychiatry, she is involved in a broad range of clinical, research, and training programs.
